Soonerthon is one of the biggest executive committees in Campus Activities Council. This year we have 256 members split into 9 committees which include: Ambassadors, High School Mini Marathons, Morale, Programming, Operations, Recruitment, Relations, Business Development, an Marketing. Below is an explanation of each committee.
Ambassadors
This committee's main goal is fundraising. They have subcommittees that focus on letter writing, canning, donation boxes, and peer-to-peer fundraising tactics. Their job is to educate campus and the community with fundraising tips and how Soonerthon benefits Oklahoma families. They also run in-event fundraising the at the 12 hour event.

High School Mini Marathons
Their mission is to develop young leaders, generate critical thinking, and create future sustainability. They are liaisons between Soonerthon and Oklahoma high schools that put on mini marathons to help us raise money. Last year Duncan, Purcell, Bethany, Casady, Latta, and Tuttle High Schools put on a mini marathon for us.

Morale
This committee is Soonerthon's hype man. Their goal is to elevate people's excitement for Soonerthon, increase campus participation, and provide entertainment the day of. They work hard all year putting together a dance that we all learn the day of. They keep the energy high and help us all have a great time!

Programming
This committee plans and facilitates events such as the Soonerthon Block Party, 5K, and the day of. This year it is MARCH 3rd! They work hard to make sure everything is in place for the 12 hour long event!

Operations
This committee focuses on logistics. They run the Soonerthon store, keep track of Miracle Cup Points (see last blog for more info), keep in contact with alumni, and act as participant liaisons. They also work Miracle week the week before Soonerthon and facilitate check in and check out the day of the event!

Recruitment
This committee's role is to help educate campus on what Soonerthon is. Their main goal is to get as many registrants as possible. You will often see this committee tabling in the South Oval raising awareness for Soonerthon.

Relations
This committee works directly with the miracle families. They facilitated the Adopt-A-Family program, plan events for the miracle families, create a cause-connection for campus, and connect the families to the community via newsletters, blogs, and community events. They also facilitated internal relational actives such as mixers and development.

Business Development
This committee is in charge of getting sponsorships for Soonerthon and our events. The Sponsorship funding goes towards our expenses for the entire year to ensure the every penny we raise goest to directly to the cause. They also work hard to get donations and raffle items for the day of.
